DiAthlete’s Global Tour hits the big screen

FRIO ambassador Gavin Griffiths, aka DiAthlete, recently completed his Global Tour where he travelled to eight countries in six continents around the world. In each region he met with local Type 1 diabetes communities to share experiences and hosted a 5k run involving the whole community.

During his Global Tour, DiAthlete was filmed as part of a documentary by Sanofi and now you have the chance to be at the premiere!

When? Saturday 11th November, 9.45am – 5.30pm

Where? University of Greenwich’s Royal Naval College in Greenwich, London, in the King William building

Tickets are free but must be pre-registered online to confirm your space – details to come shortly.

There will be three panels held throughout the day including a Doctor’s Panel where guests will hear from diabetes health care professionals and have the chance to debate with them about recent developments and leading issues. Social Media Guru, Dr Partha Kar, will also be on the panel!

A UK Roundtable of T1D advocates will share stories and another group of inspiring guests will discuss a range of topics including Diabulimia and arranging local peer support meetups for people with Type 1! Visitors will also have the exciting opportunity to meet and hear from people living with type 1 diabetes from 6 different continents!

A fundraising prize draw will be held and there will be an exciting exhibition to check out throughout the day. Hosted by Gavin Griffiths, the day will conclude with the first ever screening of the DiAthlete Global Tour documentary!
